Medjugorje Retreat 2018

In 2018 the Rainbow Lighthouse family returned once again to Medjugorje. Building on the blessings of the 2017 retreat, this gathering deepened the journey of peace, love and grace in the sacred landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The retreat followed the familiar path of pilgrimage that had touched so many hearts the year before:

• Apparition Hill – climbing the coral and cream-coloured rocks polished by pilgrims over decades, and entering into silent meditation at the statue of Our Lady.

• Blue Cross Grotto – a place of quiet reflection and prayer beneath the hill.

• Cross Mountain – ascending to the great white cross with views over distant mountains, experiencing breakthroughs and profound stillness.

• Tihaljina – visiting the beautiful church with the Italian statue of Our Lady of Graces in pale blue and pink, a place of miracles and tears of love.

As in every year, the retreat brought together people of many belief systems in a spirit of unity. Through meditation, prayer and sharing, the group was held in the peace and healing energy for which Medjugorje is known worldwide.

The 2018 retreat confirmed what had already begun in 2017: that Medjugorje would become an annual pilgrimage, a continuing source of renewal, connection and oneness.
