Medjugorje: I Want to Love You The Story of Our Journey

There is a sacred weaving that moves through our everyday lives—through the ordinary moments, the unexpected encounters, the people we meet, the journeys we make and the things that seem accidental at the time.
Then those same threads begin to appear again inside the retreat.
Something happens before you leave home. Another connection appears when you arrive. A person says something without knowing what has already happened. A song returns. A stranger appears. A message repeats itself. And slowly you begin to see how everyday life, retreat life and every person you meet are being woven together.
For me, this is how grace flows.

The Journey Began Before Medjugorje

This Medjugorje journey began before we ever reached Medjugorje.
A few days before the retreat began, I received a speeding fine and was offered the opportunity to do a speed-awareness course. On the morning of the course there were ten of us in total — ten people who had been caught speeding, some from Northern Ireland and some from England.
We introduced ourselves and began the course. My phone alarms were all turned off and my phone was on silent.
Then, completely unexpectedly, my phone went off by itself and started playing Bob Marley:
“I want to love you…”
I could not get it turned off. I could hardly believe it. I just kept laughing, and everyone else started laughing as well.
I should have known then that this was going to be a very important sign.
During the speed-awareness course, something shifted in me. I became so aware of the fact that through carelessness, or simply not paying enough attention to my speed, I could damage or completely change somebody else’s life.
And then I realised that an accident could also change my own life — mentally, emotionally and physically. I had never really thought about it like that before.
My life has to be important. And somebody else’s life has to be important.
So I decided that from then on I would be much more aware, much more careful and much more conscious of my speed.
Two days later, Sasha and I got into the car and headed for the airport.
As we passed Dromore, where I used to live and where Rainbow Light House had been, my flask of tea suddenly opened and spilled completely through the car.
Straight away I said:
“The tears are going to be released. Something deep from the past in all of us. Sufferings that we could not heal.”
These were the symbols and signs beginning to come in.
Then, further down the motorway, we came across a very serious accident on the opposite side of the road. There were, I think, five fire brigades there.
I said:
“What a major rescue. And a cleansing fire.”
We arrived at the airport, met everybody, said our hellos and got onto the plane. We had a lovely flight and began our journey towards Medjugorje.

Our Hearts Were Home

When we arrived, our bus driver Matteo was there waiting for us. He was the same bus driver we had the previous year, so it was lovely to see him again.
As everybody settled onto the bus, I stood up and asked Miriam:
“How many journeys have I made here, Miriam?”
She said:
“This would be your eighth.”
I said:
“I told Our Lady I was coming to see her twelve times.”
Eight times to Medjugorje. Twice to Knock. Once to Fatima. Once to Lourdes.
Twelve journeys.
And I said:
“This is my last journey. It is complete.”
Some people may have felt shocked or sad when I said it. But that was the message I had received.
We travelled for around two and a half hours, crossing the different borders. It was a beautiful evening. We arrived in Medjugorje around midnight.
Our hearts were home.
As I entered my bedroom, water was dripping from the air conditioning unit all night. When I awoke, there was a pool of water; or as Spirit said, TEARS. This repeated until after the Divine Mercy visit. It just stopped and all was well.

Apparition Hill – New Pathways

The next morning we got up and went to Mass. For the first time I had ever experienced in October, Mass was outside. It was the biggest crowd I had seen there at that time of year, so many people that the Mass had to be celebrated outdoors.
The weather was beautiful.
That day we walked towards Apparition Hill. As we walked, we were taken through many pathways and at times it almost felt disorientating, but we were not affected by it. New pathways were being created.
Eventually we arrived at Apparition Hill and began to climb.
As I was walking, Spirit said to me:
“Look at your shoes.”
I looked down and saw how worn they had become. The soles were completely worn through.
And in that moment I realised just how far I had actually walked.
Even though it was so busy, we passed beyond the busyness.
It became still, and the whole group felt a powerful presence of peaceful grace. It was as though it was only us walking.
When we reached Our Lady, I knelt at her statue.
And for the first time, I saw Jesus in her.
Her eyes, her face, everything seemed to change.
And I heard:
“I am here now.”
I thought:
This is why it is my last time.
He is here now.
Afterwards we had lunch in the local area. It was beautiful, and we decided we would return many times.
It became a place where we could sit together, talk, share, laugh and process what was happening.
Later we had some time to ourselves.

I Want to Love You

Then at around six-thirty we left for Adoration. There were thousands of people sitting outside. It was a cold, windy evening.
The music was beautiful. We sat together.
And this was when the story of “I want to love you” began to deepen.
That morning I had told the group what had happened during the speed-awareness course. I told them how my phone, completely silenced, had suddenly begun to play Bob Marley:
“I want to love you.”
I knew by then that those words were important.
At Adoration my phone was once again off and my alarms were all turned off.
And in the middle of thousands of people, my phone suddenly started playing:
“I want to love you…”
Again.
Everybody in our group knew the story from that morning. They were laughing because of the timing of it.
And in that moment, I heard Jesus saying:
“I want to love you. Let Me love you. You are loving Me. Why can’t I love you?”
That became one of the main messages of the retreat.
I told the group:
“Our Lord is saying He wants to love us. Let Him love you.”
We spend so much time loving, praying, giving, doing.
But are we willing to receive?
Can we allow ourselves to be loved?
Throughout the retreat, each member of the group also carried one of two bottles from the Croí Sophia system.
One was pale coral. The other was an iridescent turquoise.
Each person carried these energies both for their own personal clearing and guidance and also in support of the developing Croí Sophia system.
We walked to the Garden restaurant and Steven was our server. A beautiful meal and healing was flowing through all hearts.

Grace in the Unexpected Moments

The following day we travelled to the Church of Our Lady of Grace in Tihaljina.
When we arrived, there were perhaps a hundred or a hundred and fifty pilgrims inside. They were singing. The priest had a guitar.
There were pilgrims from different countries — Puerto Rico, Argentina and others.
It felt like a missionary celebration.
It was light. It was joyful. It was beautiful.
And we were able to be part of it.
Afterwards we went for lunch at the Baga restaurant and shared our meal together. Then we travelled to Mother’s Village.
We sat with the Eucharist in peace. We meditated. We talked. We shared our feelings and stories. And we had time to process.
Later, we returned to the Garden Restaurant for dinner. Marco served us that evening. He remembered me from the year before.
There were also experiences happening between all of these planned moments.
One of those happened when I went for the massage I had booked.
As the girl was massaging me, she suddenly went into a profound shift. I felt something very old in her body.
In my own spiritual experience, I understood it as a curse that had been held there for somewhere around two hundred and fifteen to two hundred and fifty years.
Something released.
She became deeply emotional.
And she said to me:
“I have suffered so long. Thank you.”
Again, this was not planned. It happened in the middle of an ordinary massage.
But this was how the retreat seemed to work.
Spirit moved through the spaces we had organised, but also through the moments we had not organised at all.
Another encounter happened at the hotel door.
I saw a beautiful couple waiting outside for their taxi to take them home.
Spirit said to me:
“Take their picture.”
So I walked over and asked:
“Would you like me to take your picture?”
They said yes. We talked briefly. They said they were waiting for their taxi.
And I asked:
“Do you need me to help you in any way?”
They told me they had come because they had a very sick child.
Immediately I remembered something one of our group members had told me two days earlier. She had spoken with a man whose child was very sick, and he had come there with his wife.
When she told me the story, I had said:
“Well, if I am meant to see them, God will put them in front of me.”
And then there they were.
Two or three minutes before getting into their taxi to leave.
We were standing together outside the hotel.
I put my arms around each of them separately and, in the short time we had, I processed, cleared, shifted and channelled all that I could.
And I thought:
“There is your miracle for Medjugorje.”

Divine Mercy – Find Me, I Am Here

Then came Thursday.
Thursday was the day I had been looking forward to very deeply and very personally.
We were going to Šurmanci and the Divine Mercy Church.
That place has been profoundly powerful for me.
Six years earlier, while we were in Medjugorje, we had gone to a beautiful restaurant in Šurmanci on our final night.
There were around twenty-five to twenty-seven people in the group. We were eating and laughing together.
And as I sat there, in my spiritual experience, Jesus Our Lord walked in and called me outside.
I was the only one who could see Him and hear Him.
I got up from the table and walked outside.
The place around us felt like a wilderness. It was barren. The wind was blowing. Bushes were moving. It felt almost like a desert.
And in the middle of it was this beautiful restaurant.
Jesus said:
“I am here.”
I said:
“I know You are here. You are everywhere.”
And He said:
“No, no. Find Me. I am here.”
I thought:
Wow.
So I walked back into the restaurant and asked the owner:
“What is Šurmanci famous for?”
He said:
“It is famous for Divine Mercy. Jesus, the Divine Mercy, is here.”
I could not believe it.
We were going home that night.
And I said:
“When I come back the next time, we will visit the Divine Mercy Chapel.”
That was the beginning of my journey with the Divine Mercy Chapel in Šurmanci.
Jesus had told me:
“Find Me. I am here.”
When we returned the following year, I had been asked to bring my cross.
It was a little brass cross I had bought in one of the local holy shops for £12.99.
While standing in Šurmanci singing the Divine Mercy, Our Lord said to me:
“Open your backpack.”
I opened it.
And the right hand of Jesus on the cross had broken off.
And I heard:
“I am at the right hand of the Father.”
That became one of my personal miracles of Šurmanci.
So this year, I was looking forward to Thursday enormously.
We got up early because we wanted to have the first hour inside the church before anybody else arrived. Masses are celebrated there throughout the day.
We arrived at half past eight.
It was just us.
In my heart, it felt like Jesus and the twelve apostles.
We entered into silent meditation.
Then we began around twenty minutes of the Divine Mercy, followed by Ave Maria and then Hallelujah.
As I began singing the Divine Mercy, the transmission started moving through my body again.
The pain that wept out of my body is something I cannot fully explain.
I have no words for it.
I only know that, for me, it was divine healing beyond anything I can describe.
The group entered into a profound healing as well. The whole energy shifted.
For twenty solid minutes it poured through my body and through the group.
Šurmanci had never let me down.
Our Lord had come.
Everyone was on a high beyond a high. Spiritually, we were filled. And nobody wanted to leave.
We had arrived at half past eight and did not leave until around a quarter to ten.
I reminded everybody:
“Now remember, you are filled up. Be aware and be careful who you share this with because you need to keep it. Hold it for yourself until you can integrate it.”
And I said again:
“Our Lord is saying He wants to love us. He wants to love us. Let Him love you.”
In that transmission, it felt as though we were completely loved with grace.
Everybody felt it.
Later we returned, changed quickly and walked to the Weeping Statue of Our Lord.
We then had some free time to process. We went for lunch near Apparition Hill and talked about the power of Šurmanci.
That evening, at seven o’clock, we met again for Adoration.
This time the evening was warmer.
We sat together.
The music. The silence. The power.
Then we headed for our final dinner at the Garden Restaurant.
When we arrived, there was a table with thirteen chairs at the back wall. We sat down.
We did not see Stephen. We did not see Mario.
Then this tall, thin server came to the bottom of the table. He looked straight at me.
And he said:
“I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you. I want to love you. Do you know that I love you?”
The whole group erupted.
They cheered. They laughed. They could not believe what had just happened.
Because all week we had been hearing:
“I want to love you.”
Then the waiter turned around and said to the whole group:
“I love you too. I love everybody. I love you all.”
Everybody was laughing.
The confirmation was extraordinary.
He went away. He got the menus.
Then he came back again and shouted at the top of his voice:
“I love you!”
For us, this was another complete confirmation.
I want to love you.
Let Me love you.
We laughed. We celebrated. We sang.
We put on the speaker and played our songs.
It was our last night, and it felt divinely complete.

The Thread of Saint Charbel

Another thread had also been moving through the retreat.
Saint Charbel.
Earlier in the week, while walking towards Mass, I had stopped at the hairdresser because I wanted to book an appointment.
She remembered me from years before.
She said:
“Oh Roisin, you are back.”
I booked in with her and also booked my massage.
And then she handed me a bag containing thirteen small bottles of Saint Charbel oil.
I thought immediately:
These are for the group.
There are thirteen.
Perfect.
I will give them out on our leaving day.
But I did not tell anybody.
Then, while we were having our different experiences through the week, Kerry and Brian went to Saint Charbel’s shop.
Without knowing anything about the bottles I had been given, they met the owner of the shop.
They later came back and told me the owner could not give them enough. She hardly wanted to charge them.
“The love was profound, Roisin. We knew it from the Divine Mercy. We were being given to. We were receiving.”
While she was telling me the story, I was thinking about the secret little present I had for everybody.
Then, on Friday morning, while we were having breakfast, I saw Lynette, the American lady I had spoken to earlier in the retreat.
I went over and asked her:
“Did you walk Cross Mountain?”
She said no.
Then she said:
“But I think I need to tell you something about a saint. Saint Charbel. Have you ever seen his relics? Have you ever seen his little church? There is one up beside the Weeping Christ.”
I said:
“Thank you. That was the message you were meant to give me.”
Now everything connected.
The thirteen bottles.
Kerry and Brian visiting the Saint Charbel shop.
And now Lynette telling me about the little chapel and the relics that I had not even known were there.
So after Mass we went to find Saint Charbel’s chapel.
We sat there for around fifteen minutes in silent meditation. We sat with his relics. We gathered our prayers.
For me, Saint Charbel had become a very important part of the retreat.
And the timing of everything was extraordinary.
After that we went up towards Apparition Hill and the Blue Cross.
We sat there for a while in silent meditation.
Then we returned to our beautiful restaurant again.
We had lunch. We talked. We celebrated.
And eventually it was time to return to the hotel for our closing meditation and conversation.
We gathered in the chapel.
We entered into a deep process of closing the retreat.
I talked about everything we had gone through.
The things we were processing.
The messages.
The healing.
The signs.
The experiences.
Then I handed everybody their retreat card.
And finally, I told them about the present I had kept secret.
The thirteen bottles of Saint Charbel oil.
It was so beautiful to have that confirmation of the saint with us throughout the retreat without us even realising how much the thread had been building.
When we get out of the way, everything happens.
That was the closing of our Medjugorje retreat.
But the energy did not stop there.

One Final Miracle on the Journey Home

We continued flowing in it right through until we arrived at the airport.
I went to the toilet, and while washing my hands, I met a lady called Valerie. She told me her daughter and she had been to Medjugorje because she had received bad news about her health.
I said, "Come with me," and I spent some time clearing her.
It was time to get on the plane and I said to Valerie:
"I will see you inside."
She said, "How will I see you?"
I said, "Don't worry, it's all sorted from above."
Her daughter came over and said, "Mum is in seat 11E."
I smiled, as they were unaware I was also in seat 11. God arranges everyone in the right place at the right time.
As Valerie sat in her seat across from me she could hardly believe what was happening.
There also was a young lady sitting next to me. I said, "You will be moving when the plane goes up into the air," and this is what happened: she got up and went to a seat that was free with her friend.
I smiled over to Valerie and invited her right in next to me. I cleared her and chatted with her until we landed—another amazing miracle in Christ's name.

Let Yourself Be Loved

The days had been powerful.
The nights had been powerful.
The connection was powerful.
The meditations were powerful.
The healing was powerful.
Some members of the group witnessed the sun appearing to spin.
Everybody had their own personal experiences.
Those joining the retreat energetically from home were having their own experiences as well.
We were in the energy of the 72 Names of God.
We were in the energy of bottles 19 and 5.
We were in the colours of Divine Mercy.
We were in the energy of Saint Charbel.
And running through it all was Bob Marley:
“I want to love you.”
For me, those words had become the voice of Our Lord:
I want to love you.
Let Me love you.
This was my final group retreat to Medjugorje.
Something has completed for me.
It was powerful.
And it was also sad.
It made me look back at all the retreats.
All the journeys.
All the people who walked with me physically.
All the people who joined energetically.
All the blessings.
All the miracles.
All the confirmations.
All the messages.
All the changes I have seen in people.
And I realised how far I have come as well.
It has been an extraordinary journey to be part of.
So I want to thank every single person who participated in this powerful, mystical and sacred journey.
Thank you to everybody who walked with me physically.
Thank you to everybody who joined energetically.
Thank you for the trust.
Thank you for the prayers.
Thank you for the openness.
Thank you for allowing yourselves to go into the healing, the remembrance and the grace.
And perhaps one of the greatest messages I bring home from this final Medjugorje retreat is this:
We spend so much time loving God.
But sometimes we forget to allow God to love us.

So let yourself be loved.
Let yourself receive.
