Glastonbury Retreat

Glastonbury Spiritual Retreat 2024
A journey of discovery and spiritual renewal amidst the sacred energies of Glastonbury.
When I embarked on my journey to Glastonbury, I was filled with anticipation and curiosity. I had envisioned a place steeped in biblical history, where the energy was structured and profound. What I discovered was both surprising and enlightening.

Upon arrival, the village of Glastonbury appeared ordinary, almost mundane. It was a typical village with people going about their daily lives. This was unexpected because I had imagined Glastonbury as the birthplace of Christianity in the British Isles, a place where the light of faith was first kindled. As we drove through the village, I felt a sense of disconnection, as if the spiritual significance of the place had been forgotten.

However, the true essence of Glastonbury began to reveal itself as we explored further. Visiting the abbey was a transformative experience. The manicured grounds and well-maintained structures told a story of deep respect and reverence for history. Walking through Our Lady’s Chapel and standing at King Arthur’s grave, I felt the layers of history—biblical, medieval and pagan—converging in a powerful way.

One of the most surreal moments was sitting under the Holy Thorn, where Joseph of Arimathea was said to have planted his staff, which miraculously bloomed and now holds a sacret presence in Glastonbury. The convergence of ley lines at this site, known as the line of Saint Michael, created a palpable energy of peace and acceptance. I experienced the energy as "no worry, no judgment and everyone lives free" in a positive sense. But on a deeper level the people have to abandoned their responsibilities, living carefree lives that lacked a divine connection.

My visit to the Tor, the Tower of Saint Michael, was another significant highlight. Sitting in the ancient structure, I felt a powerful connection to different worlds—the Celtic, the present and the higher spiritual realms. It was a moment of clarity and revelation, where I felt a deeper understanding of my purpose and the vision for our journey.

During this profound experience, Spirit revealed to me the image of "Eve" beeing awakenend of the beat of a sacred drum. Also in the vision Eve had roots of an oak tree spreading over her and people rising around her like stones coming to life.
While meditating in the Tor, I experienced an overwhelming sensation of pregnancy, symbolizing the birth of new spiritual insights. At that moment, a pregnant woman joined me, reinforcing the message from Mother Mary that every birth carries the essence of Jerusalem, bringing it back into the hearts of humanity. She said to me, "I birthed my son in Jerusalem, but Jerusalem is everywhere. Every child that is birthed carries Jerusalem within them. Bring Jerusalem back to everyone."

A man appeared carrying a drum and I said "I have been waiting for you, you are my drummer" and he proceeded to play a powerful rythmic beat and Eve was awakened

We then made our way to a beautiful little chapel with its own private garden. In the chapel, we did a profound meditation and entered the labyrinth of the heart journey.

One of the ladies with me, who was experiencing this for the first time, was amazed at everything that happened. She asked, "Who does this?" I told her, "the grace of god" and she responded, "I have never experienced light in my life the way you do it."

Our journey also took us to the sacred Chalice Wells, a place of divine feminine and masculine balance. The energy here was pure and respectful, with men and women engaging in rituals that honored their bodies and spirits.

Reflecting on my time in Glastonbury, I realized the importance of discipline and focus in spiritual and divine practice. The experiences in Glastonbury taught me that true spirituality requires balance, grounding and a deep connection to the divine essence.

As we concluded our retreat, I felt a sense of completion and fulfillment. The blessings and insights gained during this journey were profound and I left Glastonbury with a renewed sense of purpose and clarity. This pilgrimage was not just about exploring a sacred place but about understanding the intricate dance between the spiritual and the mundane and finding harmony within. At the end of the retreat, Spirit asked me to return every year to support the divine energies.

Jerusalem:

And did those feet in ancient time

Walk upon England's mountains green?

And was the holy Lamb of God

On England's pleasant pastures seen?

And did the countenance divine

Shine forth upon our clouded hills?

And was Jerusalem builded here

Among those dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!

Bring me my arrows of desire!

Bring me my spear: o clouds unfold!

Bring me my chariots of fire!

I will not cease from mental fight;

Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand

Till we have built Jerusalem

In England's green and pleasant land.

Roisin Eve
